OUR HISTORY
It all began in 1909. Our founder, Emil Benkiser registered the “Benkiser & Cie. GmbH” in the Strasbourg commercial register. Shortly after, the first printed Benkiser catalog was published.
Over 100 years later, the spirit of Benkiser still persists. We proudly continue our tradition of quality and the best workmanship possible. We will continue to strive to deliver sanitary solutions fit for the ever demanding requirements of a fast developing industry.
1909
Already after a short while, no fewer than 110 types of faucets are listed in the Benkiser catalog. Following its success, just after three years, the young company needs commercial support and a new headquarter in Bad Cannstatt.
1934
The “Roland” flush valve is considered a real milestone in the development of Benkiser. The “Roland” gives the company the opportunity to produce in large quanitities and opens up new sales markets.
1950
Benkiser is one of the best-known brand manufacturers in the young German sanitary industry.
1965
As part of the border zone funding processes, Benkiser is moving its factory to the new buidling in Burglengenfeld, Bavaria.
1998
Test! For the first time, the German Stiftung Warentest test the efficiency of pressure flush valves and the Benkiser “Twimat” is rated the best in its class.
2009
100 years of Benkiser!
2012
Benkiser equips the public sanitary rooms of the pilgrim city Mecca, Saudi Arabia with thousands of 890 flush valves.
2017
No-contact technology! Benkiser expands its touch-free program.
